Spread the love

“Many died so you could live with the freedoms you have today. Don’t ever take those freedoms for granted.” ~LMB

More men and women have fought for your right to freedom than you can imagine. Appreciate the extent to which these men and women have been willing to fight for the rights of people they have never met. Their lives are put on the line and, sadly, lost every day to provide freedoms and protections for loved ones and strangers alike. Honor this priceless gift you were given by a loved one who served, a stranger who fought, and a soldier who lost their life so you could maintain a certain quality in yours.

As you live your life this week, remember all those servicemen and women who have lost their lives for your freedom. Send all those families who have lost their children, spouses, parents, and friends protecting your freedoms a tremendous amount of love, compassion, and gratitude. Honoring the lives lost while defending your freedoms starts by honoring the freedoms they lost their lives to protect (speech, equality, democracy, etc.). Our service men and women are represented by all races, genders, sexual orientations, backgrounds, political beliefs, religions, and socio-economic levels. Remember your humanity this week, as well as the humanity of those who fight for you every day.

Challenge: In honor of all those who have fought or continue to fight for your freedoms, be a little kinder, far more compassionate, and significantly more tolerant of the differences of others. Many of those “others” are fighting for you. Lend a hand, give a smile, offer assistance, have a conversation, and do whatever you can to make the day or life of a fellow human being a little more positive than before you came along.

In memory of all those who have lost their lives to defend our freedoms, we thank you and your families for the tremendous sacrifices you made.
