Work to become the partner you wish you’d married and the parent you wish you’d had. Strive to be the leader you’ve waited years to work for, the stranger who has your back, the example you always hoped you’d set.
This year, let humanity be your North Star. Find the courage to challenge the status quo when every fiber of your being knows the status quo is harmful to many. Bravely stand for those showered in hate, shamed for their choices, attacked for their differences. Be accountable for your actions and their impact, and hold others accountable to do the same. Refuse to excuse abuse, turn a blind eye to harm, or be complicit in cruelty.
Stand where others cower. Speak where others are silent. Create change where others have given up hope.
Become the best person you can be–in your home, your neighborhood, our cities, and our world.
